Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper – Ash Wednesday Services

Thank you to all for your support of the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper – we received $700 in donations (profit approx $500) that will benefit a charity chosen by the Children of the congregation.

Our Ash Wednesday offering of $1542 will benefit Carroll County Food Sunday.  A check for that amount will be sent to them on behalf of Trinity and the congregation of Deer Park United Methodist Church.  Thank you all.

We end the season of Epiphany with our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on February 21.  Dinner will be served from 5-7 p.m. There is no charge – just a donation that will benefit a charity chosen by the children of the church. On the menu is pancakes and sausages.

We mark the beginning of Lent with two services scheduled on Ash Wednesday, February 22 at 12:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.  The congregation of Deer Park Methodist Church will join with us.  Pastor Mary Jo Sims from Deer Park UMC is presiding and Pastor Dahl Drenning from Trinity will preach.  All will be invited to come forward for the Imposition of Ashes when we “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”  Communion will be shared as well.  All are welcome.
