“Coming Home” – One Incredible Anniversary

This past Sunday, we observed our 145th Anniversary in an exciting celebration in front of a full house. Trinity Lutheran Church was founded in 1866 to help spread the Gospel (Good News) to the local community. Aside from a great feast, old and new friends, was another video production from our own “3 Guys in the Dark”.

Take a look! Our “3 Guys in the Dark” production group has captured the true essence of Trinity’s ministry that has sustained us through the years and will carry us through for many years to come.

Ken Ryan to be honored at the DE-MD Synod’s Celebration of Ministry

Ken Ryan will be recognized at the Celebration of Ministry Dinner to be held at Carroll Lutheran Village on May 1, 2011.  Ken was selected as the recipient for the Westminster Conference of the DE-MD Synod for his contributions to Trinity. Ken takes care of numerous things quietly behind the scenes each week.  He collates and puts together our weekly worship folder and assists in preparing the altar for worship. Woodcrafting is a talent of Ken’s and Trinity has been the recipient of many gifts of that talent.  He sees a need and it appears.  As an example, we needed a table in our narthex to display items and a beautiful tri-corner table is now in use.  Ken has also served as Financial Secretary and taught Adult Sunday School for well over 20 years.  He participates in our tech/production group and is currently serving on our sound system committee.  Congratulations Ken for recognition well deserved – even though you prefer not to be in the spotlight!

Yet Another 3-Guys in the Dark Production…

This time, we’re going Big! After much collaboration and thoughtful prayer, 3-Guys in the Dark are in the early stages of another video production. This project is more targeted towards the “outside world”. John Crosby has rewritten a classic short story with a deeper message and more a timely delivery. The Confirmands, other youth at Trinity, and several more seasoned Trinitarians are taking part in this exciting new venture.

The film will be co-produced and distributed by the Confirmation class at Trinity. Stay tuned for more details about our upcoming project. Our next post will feature the title and logo!

Peace…
