2nd Set of Top Ten Hymns – May 15, 2011
As a follow-up to last year Top Ten Hymn-Sing, join us on Sunday, May 15 for the 2nd Top Ten. Last year, through popular congregational voting, we sang Trinity’s favorite top ten hymns. On the 15th, we will learn what #11-20 are. You wouldn’t believe how close the vote count was on these top 20.
The evening will begin at 5:00 p.m. for a Potluck Dinner (so bring your favorite dish of food to share) and then we will move into the Social Hall to start singing at 6:00. Iced tea will be provided.
Hope to see you there!

Ken Ryan to be honored at the DE-MD Synod’s Celebration of Ministry
Ken Ryan will be recognized at the Celebration of Ministry Dinner to be held at Carroll Lutheran Village on May 1, 2011. Ken was selected as the recipient for the Westminster Conference of the DE-MD Synod for his contributions to Trinity. Ken takes care of numerous things quietly behind the scenes each week. He collates and puts together our weekly worship folder and assists in preparing the altar for worship. Woodcrafting is a talent of Ken’s and Trinity has been the recipient of many gifts of that talent. He sees a need and it appears. As an example, we needed a table in our narthex to display items and a beautiful tri-corner table is now in use. Ken has also served as Financial Secretary and taught Adult Sunday School for well over 20 years. He participates in our tech/production group and is currently serving on our sound system committee. Congratulations Ken for recognition well deserved – even though you prefer not to be in the spotlight!

“Who is this King” a Huge Success
Trinity’s Adult choir delivered a powerful and moving Palm Sunday message through the music of the cantata “Who Is This King?” written by Joseph M Martin and Lloyd Larson. This 35 minute choral work is inspired by the life, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. New and old melodies create the drama to make you feel like you a participant in Jesus’ life at that time.
Directed by Sandy Miller, accompanied by Kim Skellan on the Keyboards, and the Trinity Lutheran Church Adult Choir, it was an incredible performance.
Ah, Holy Jesus Oh Love Divine
Look for the DVD video and CD-ROM music CD coming soon. For more information or to request a copy, please email webmaster@trinitywired.org.

WHO IS THIS KING? – Adult Choir sings Message on Palm Sunday
Trinity’s Adult choir will deliver the Palm Sunday message through the music of the cantata “Who Is This King?” written by Joseph M Martin and Lloyd Larson. This 35 minute choral work is inspired by the life, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. New and old melodies create the drama to make you feel like you a participant in Jesus’ life at that time.
We will gather together for one worship service at 10:30 a.m. and will begin with the Procession of Palms in remembrance of that first Palm Sunday when Jesus entered Jerusalem in triumph. We will celebrate Holy Communion at the conclusion of the cantata.
Kids Praise will meet at 9:30 a.m. and our fellowship time will begin at 9:30 as well.
The community is invited to join with us on this festival day for this humbling message in song. Contact the church office at office@trinitywired.org or contact Sandy Miller, Director of Worship & Music, at sandy@trinitywired.org with any questions.
